The Daddy Tag Challenge

Processed with VSCO with c1 presetI’m very excited to have been nominated for my very first tag challenge by Laura and Mark of 2 Travelling Tots  – The Daddy Tag Challenge  – the genius idea from the delightful Frenchie Mummy. What makes it all the more wonderful is that I don’t even have to do the work…muhahaha!
So, I’m off to soak in the bath – I may be back later should I need to defend myself….

Are you a Stay at Home Daddy or a Working Daddy?

I’m a working Daddy, but I work for myself so I don’t have anyone to answer to when I want some time off. I have to be the boss somewhere…

Would you have it any other way?

No, I like to feel like I am supporting my family and being my own boss means I can be flexible when I need to be.

Do you co-change dirty nappies? Even the very smelly ones?

Yes I do. It’s surprising how a smelly nappy can wake you up in the morning.

A little fairy gives you the possibility of breastfeeding. Are you going for it or do you run away?

If a little fairy came along I’d ask to win the lottery instead.

What is the one must-have item for a daddy?

A mummy.

How many kids do you plan on having?

Two or three. I’d like a big family.

Lads’ nights? How often do you have them?

What’s a lads night? I can’t make it past 11 these days before I’m tired, grabbing a takeaway and heading home. Now I know I’m getting old.

Your children’s favourite achievement?

Saying Dada, Claire says it’s just baby babbles but I know otherwise.

What is your best memory with your kid(s)?

When he was born, he took his time but it was so worth it.

Name one thing you miss since being a daddy?

Sleep obviously.

Weight gain, before pregnancy, during, after and now? And we mean YOU DADDY, not the mummy!

A few too many visits to the Colonel in the early days saw me pile on some timber but I think I’m back to normal now.

Dream holiday with your kids?

Japan, I’ve alway wanted to go and I think it would be good to show Henry a different culture. And I like the food.

Dream holiday without your kids or even without the other half? (You’re allowed to dream)

I would probably say Vegas. I’m 30 next year – hint, hint.

How has your life changed since having kids?

I can’t just pop anywhere anymore and I think differently. Everything I do I think about how it will affect Henry. I’d rather him have something than me.

Finish the sentence “It makes my heart melt when…”

When he drinks water from his sippy cup. It’s very cute.

Favourite beers brands and football team?

Sheffield Wednesday and Heineken.

Huggies or Pampers?

Pampers. The only nappies that can almost always contain the biggest explosions.

Have you always wanted kids?

Yes and I always wanted a son so I’m very lucky.

Best part of being a dad?

Everyday is different and watching him learn new skills and become more and more cheeky.

So… *Ding! Ding!* I nominate some lovely ladies who I’ve been introduced to through Friday night’s #mblogchat: Kirsty of More of Me, Maddy of The Speed Bump & Jenna of Tinyfootsteps!
